Wolf (game) : ウィキペディア英語版
Wolf (video game)

''Wolf'' is a life simulation game where the player takes the role of a wolf. The gameplay is divided into two parts. The first is a sandbox mode, where the player has no predetermined goal. The second is a scenario mode, where the player has to complete specific actions; this is comparable to quests given in RPGs.〔
==Gameplay==
The game's main point is to survive as a wolf. This is handled by maintaining the wolf's health, hunger, stamina and thirst, the status of these is shown at the bottom of the screen. This part of the screen can also be used to initiate actions such as eating, drinking, sleeping, and using the wolf's senses, though there are also keys which serve the same purpose. The wolf's senses (sight, smell, hearing) are used to locate prey and evade human hunters, as well as find other wolves and traps. The cursor is used to control the wolf's movements, and is used to attack prey or challenge other wolves by clicking them.
When a player enters the sandbox simulation mode, they will be given a rank in the pack according to the game's internal individual wolf strength stats. For example, one of the strongest male wolves is Centaurus and one of the strongest females is Rumour. The player can ascend through the ranks of the pack by attacking and hunting all forms of prey(alone or with the pack, just make the killing blow) or by following the alpha of the same sex and challenging them when they are unhealthy. When challenging a wolf, your health will decrease. If you try to challenge a healthy wolf too much, your wolf will die. There are three choices when confronting a wolf. You can choose to be submissive, in which you will surely take damage, moderate, and aggressive. If you choose aggressive, you will have a chance to attack the other wolf. If both wolves choose moderate, the wolves will wag themselves in a playful manner and the scene will end. If the player is an alpha male, the entire pack will follow, but if not, the pack will only follow the alpha male. The pack can be summoned or found by howling and following the sound icons that appear on the screen.
To be able to mate, a player must be an alpha male or female and healthy at the proper time of the year. Each of the environments have the same mating season (the player's wolf's 'mating season' takes place on a specific day when the wolf is 9 months old). The alpha of the opposite sex will come to the player on this day and the game will automatically make them mate(the player shouldn't click anything, as this will cause the other wolf to wait for an additional week to mate). If you try to mate before the right season, or if you are not an alpha, the other wolf will turn and run away. The alpha female (if the player is not that wolf) will leave the pack two months after mating and remain at the den, only leaving for food and water. Pups will be born three months after mating(if the player is the pregnant female, the pups will be born the first time the female returns to the den after three months). When naming puppies, the naming goes in a pattern of male, female, male, female. The alpha female will stay with the babies, again only leaving for food and drink, until they are eight months old, which is the age in which they are full grown. The alpha female will automatically feed the pups, unless you're her, but the player can feed them by bringing meat to the den and clicking on the den itself. One of two options let the player interact with the pups. When the pups are fully grown, they'll chase away pack members that bring the pack number over six. Those wolves aren't part of the pack anymore.
When hunting, weak or injured animals are the easier prey. You will notice a limp if the animal is injured or sick. Chase them until you are close enough and then click on the choice of prey. It will go to a small clip telling you if you succeeded in the kill. Having your pack near you when you click raises the chances of success. If you fail at the hunt, your wolf will be thrown from the prey and you may be injured. It may be hard to eat your prey, but by clicking 'A' (In game play) your wolf will be on autoplay, and your wolf will go to the carcass to eat.
